SUMMARY:Ides of March
DESCRIPTION:Doors Open 6pm\, Start Time 7:30pm \nClassic Rock Band ‘The Ides of March’ will be coming to Lake Geneva at Geneva Stage on Saturday\, November 4\, 2023. You will get to see the iconic original line-up including Jim Peterik (formerly of Survivor/World Stage). \nThe Ides Of March’s Jim Peterik has written or co-written barrels of platinum hits for groups like Survivor\, .38 Special\, Sammy Hagar\, and the list goes on. Recently\, Jim made the news as Survivor’s “Eye Of The Tiger” (yes\, co-written by Jim” ) surpassed a BILLION digital streams. \nThey’ll perform that anthem in their show along with their own evergreen hits like “L.A. Goodbye”\, “You Wouldn’t Listen”\, and of course the song that started it all for the guys “Vehicle”. \nWhen you throw in “High On You”\, “The Search Is Over”\, “Is This Love”\, “Hold On Loosely”\, “Rockin’ Into The Night”\, and others; it’s a greatest hits celebration live and in the flesh. \nTo see and hear Jim Peterik and The Ides Of March in an intimate setting is a rare treat indeed. You know all these songs by heart. Hearing them “close up” allows you to grab the band’s warmth\, bringing the lyrics closer to your heart\, and riding the vibe from powerful rock to tender ballads.Their voices\, uncanny in their harmony\, hit that spot every time\, and they really don’t mind if you sing along. \nIt’s no wonder Jim Peterik\, Larry Millas\, Bob Bergland\, and Mike Borch make it look so easy-they’ve been friends from grade school on\, and 2024 will mark their sixtieth year together as a band. Their little brother Scott May is the “new guy”-he’s only been with them for 34 years. \nThe frosting on this cake are the stories Jim and the lads will tell\, in and around the songs. You’ll never be able to hear these tunes again without the extra bonus of knowing how they happened. \nJim hasn’t been idle-you’ll hear a few new tunes in the mix-new favorites in the making\, and you’ll be able to get yourself some cool merchandise. The guys are always around after the show to meet and greet\, (and autograph). \nIt’s a grand night\, a ”can’t miss” event. \n“Great God in Heaven-get your tickets NOW”
